- It's supposed to be deep in the night, so yes, the old man is the keeper of the library who caught our hero off guard, rummaging through his precious books ;)

And yes, I do read all the comments you guys make, here as well as on BTOM. And I enjoy every single one of them.
Thanks a lot!

- If somebody has a chance to find Shangri-La, then it is Rajiv. I totally wish him the best of luck!
Nice perspective in the second panel! And that window in the ast is totally beautiful...
It's mean of the old man to tell someone young and with a few dreams left, that their quest is hopeless... but I guess for one, he believes what he is saying, and second, Rajiv is not his friend - he's not supposed to be friendly and caring towards him. Hmmm, thinking about it, if that's the case, he could have other reasons for telling Rajiv he should not go... but I know him to little to judge him in this aspect, and if he works like humans usually do, I think he doesn't believe Shangri-La exists.
Ah, who is the old man, by the way? Is he the one in charge of the library? Or just someone who lives and works in this area and wnated to look for a book...?

- @Shir0gane: Hmm, I got that it's night. I just thought, since the buildings in this area were all soooo huge and all, maybe he could be someone important who has the liberty to roam about this area even at night - some minister or something. But he acts way too lass dangerous to be one of them :D So, yeah, keeper of the library makes the most sense after all :) For some night guard he's too old, after all.

- @snow crystal: I always thought of him as a live-in librarian. :P
